Mahalo to all who made the 2008 celebration a tremendous success.
Check back in the spring for information about the 2009 festivities.

Every June 11, a day-long Kamehameha Day Celebration is held in the King's birthplace, North Kohala on the northern tip of the Big Island. Join residents for festivities including ceremonies and lei-draping of Kamehameha I's original statue in Kapaau, a traditional floral parade with pau riders from Hawi to Kapaau, and a hoolaulea (music festival) through the afternoon with cultural displays, hula, and award-winning Hawaiian musicians.
